Growth Is Universal — But Felt Differently by Everyone

Growth Is Universal — But Felt Differently by Everyone

In my earlier article, I talked about how growth — physical, mental, spiritual — is the only universal lens to life. But if you pause and reflect deeper, you’ll realize this growth manifests differently for different people.

Growth isn’t a one-size-fits-all look or feel. What feels like growth to you may feel invisible to someone else.

Growth can look like charity

In my previous reflections, I only touched upon monks, sages, saints — those who grew spiritually while ignoring the physical. But let’s not miss the other side of the spectrum.

There are people who run massive charities, who work endlessly to uplift others. They may not sit in caves or meditate. But they are spiritually evolved, mentally mature, and their growth shows in the happiness they create for others.

Growth has no rigid face. But it never escapes the three dimensions — physical, mental, spiritual. Every act of real contribution is, at its root, an act of growth.

The Treadmill Problem (Revisited)

In my earlier article, I posed the challenge: How do you even get off the treadmill?

Even for someone to stumble upon this article, they need to have had at least a fleeting thought — "What is even the point of my life?"

And the hard truth is, for many, that thought never comes. For some, it might come in their 40s (I have written a separate article on this here). For a few rare ones, it might strike in childhood or teens. And for some... never.

In my case? It was toward the late 30s.COVID definitely played a catalyst role.

While the world was binge-watching Netflix and Prime,I was binge-watching YouTube talks by Indian sages and saints.

That was my starting point.I wanted to know: Who is God? What is God? And that curiosity opened new doors I didn’t even know existed. From spirituality to Swami Vivekananda to... entrepreneurship.

You need a trigger card to be played

But here’s the thing. You can’t script when or how this happens.

For some, it will come via a life crisis. For others, an unexpected encounter, an inspiring speaker, a random article.

But some card has to be played. No one will get off the treadmill on their own. Some force, some spark, some strike is always needed.

And yes, thanks to the internet, the cards are now everywhere. You just have to pick one up.

But that’s not enough.Motivational speeches aren’t enough.Videos aren’t enough.

What’s missing is the lens itself. And that lens is what I’m trying to give you in this article.

Why this matters to your career too

This isn’t just about philosophy or self-reflection.This thought process is fuel for your career too.

People say — "You need to keep learning every day."But they never tell you where to find the motivation to do that.

That motivation only comes if you internalize the mantra: Grow physically. Grow mentally. Grow spiritually.

Once you see your career, your life, your days as a chance to live this mantra - You’ll never run out of curiosity again. You’ll wake up eagerly. You’ll chase the next question. You’ll stop asking why.

Because the why is simple:

Growth is the only job you have.Everything else is a distraction.
